Meet Jen

Why did you choose to work at PKF Texas?
Because they offered me a job! Seriously, everyone I met genuinely seemed to like what they did and the job was exactly what I had spent the past 2 years looking for. PKF Texas really does care about the people. The leadership is willing to put their money where their mouths are, and the fact that the Practice Growth department exists is a testament to the vision of our leadership. I feel my talents are valued and I am appropriately challenged.

Where did you grow up?
I grew up all over. I lived in Plano, TX until kindergarten, then we were in Bakersfield, CA for 3 years. We moved back to Plano where I went from 3rd to 8th grade. 9th grade we moved to Jakarta, Indonesia where I graduated from high school. In the summers while we were overseas, we would live in Virginia, where my mom's family lives. When I went to Penn State, I obviously lived in State College, PA. When I went to college, my parents and sister moved to Cairo, Egypt. I lived there on breaks from school. I lived in London for 6 months when I did my semester abroad. When I graduated from PSU, I moved to Fort Collins, CO where we had a town house. I lived there for a year, before moving to Houston.

What was your dream growing up?
To be the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court

What are some of your goals?
Professionally, I want to continue working my way up the proverbial corporate ladder. One personal goal is to complete as much of the 1000 Places to See Before You Die book as I can. I've done a lot, but it just reinforces how much of the world there is left to see.
