As many of you know, we are Microsoft Partner and we specialize in Dynamics CRM and NAV software. So it came as no surprise that as one of Microsoft’s top partners we received a special invite as a VIP to attend the early stages of the Microsoft store opening at Galleria today.
This is one of 10 stores around the country, and the first in Texas. Of course Houston would be first, are you kidding…who else?
When I arrived I first noted the mob of people that resembled that of an Apple Store. And the design, layout and flow appeared to be very similar. I took a few photos while I was there, but it was quite impressive.
Having someone you can go to and have face to face conversations with is quite favorable. They will have product experts, devices, PCs, etc. And of course X box and games for all those who can’t get enough play time. You check out the hottest products: Best in Class PCs; The Latest Windows Phone; Kinect for Xbox 360 and get great personal service.
One key feature that I noted was the ability to burn software for you right there in the store, if you need special software, you select it at the kiosk, they will make a personal burn, come back in 20 minutes and your software is ready for you to take home, no more waiting by the door for UPS to deliver. NOW THAT IS COOL!
