Chief Culture Officer Honored in the Greater Houston Women’s Chamber of Commerce “Texas Women’s Hall of Fame”
Sonia Freeman, CPA, CGMA, is an honoree for the 2024 Texas Women’s Hall of Fame.
HOUSTON – March 19, 2024 – Pannell Kerr Forster of Texas, P.C. (PKF Texas) is pleased to announce Sonia Freeman, CPA, CGMA, Chief Culture Officer, and Audit Director, is a 2024 Texas Women’s Hall of Fame honoree presented by The Greater Houston Women’s Chamber of Commerce.
This year, the Greater Houston Women’s Chamber of Commerce has 18 Honorees based on the criteria of women who have actively contributed to creating a positive impact on the community and improving the quality of life for future generations of Houstonians.
“We are all so proud of Sonia’s recognition as a Texas Women’s Hall of Fame honoree,” said J. Del Walker, CPA, Chief Growth Officer. “This recognition is the culmination of a career where she has and daily still does play a valued and integral role in our firm, as well as, a member of the Houston business community and accounting profession.”
Sonia has carved a path within PKF Texas for others who seek to have a life-long career in the public accounting industry. She is the first woman shareholder of the firm, as well as the first woman practice leader and the first woman member of the firm’s management committee. Continuing to set herself apart in the industry, in January 2018, she was voted unanimously by her fellow shareholders to become the firm’s first Chief Culture Officer.
On March 15, 2024, Freeman will receive the award, alongside the other honorees, at the Royal Sonesta Hotel.
