Karen: This is the PKF Texas Entrepreneur’s Playbook, and I’m Karen Love, director of Practice Growth. We’re talking about women in business, and my guest today is Susan McEldoon. She’s the president and the general manager of KHOU here in Houston. Susan, welcome to the Playbook.
Susan: Thank you, Karen. It’s nice to be here.
Karen: Thank you. Well, I know about all your prominence and things you do in the marketplace, and I wanted to get your perspective on Houston, and particularly women in business in Houston. Can you share a few thoughts with me on that?
Susan: Yeah, you know, I’ve been here for eight years now, and Houston is the land of opportunity for men and women, and people from all demographic groups. But the one thing I am continually amazed at is the number of really high quality women that are in ownership positions, owning their own company, or in top, top positions with companies across a multitude of business sectors. Energy and medical and education, and that I find very unique about Houston.
Karen: Well, it is, and I appreciate you sharing that. So thank you for sharing that, and would you come back and talk a little bit more about that in the future with us?
Susan: Absolutely, yes.
Karen: Good, we look forward to it. This has been a thought leader production, brought to you by PKF Texas, The Entrepreneur’s Playbook. Tune in next week for another chapter, and we look forward to seeing you then.
