Some of the Approachable Advisors™ are heading to Vegas for the 2023 International Franchise Association (IFA) convention! What’s going on and what are we doing there? Contract Compliance Manager, Carlos Gomez, shares what good things to expect when attending the convention.
Jen: This is the PKF Texas – Entrepreneur’s Playbook®. I’m Jen Lemanski and I’m back once again with our Contract Compliance Services Manager, Carlos Gomez, and one of our Approachable Advisors™ here at PKF Texas. Carlos, welcome back to the Playbook.
Carlos: Thanks, Jen.
Jen: We work with contract compliance services. A lot of times we’ve talked about franchisors, franchisees. There’s a big event coming up at the end of February, beginning of March. Can you talk a little bit about that and then tell us how we’re involved?
Carlos: So, the International Franchise Association is putting on their annual convention – they do every year. This year it’s in Vegas at Mandalay Bay. It’s February 26th through March 1st. It’s just going to be a great opportunity to meet people within the industry, network, not only franchisors, franchisees, but also suppliers. People who really help this industry grow and get an understanding of where the market is and help your brand succeed and help your franchise succeed.
Jen: Perfect. And you’ll be there?
Carlos: Yes, ma’am.
Jen: Perfect. What’s our booth number? Where can they find us?
Carlos: Booth number 1006.
Jen: Okay, perfect. And so, anything you’re expecting to see at the conference or convention?
Carlos: Well, there’s going to be some really good guest speakers that are going on. Usually, they start off with really high note; last year we had Shaq. So, there’ll be some good opportunities to see the real industry leaders and people that are creating new brands, creating new franchises, or they’re just expanding out further in the existing market that they’re already in.
Jen: Perfect. So, it sounds like the place to be connected to this world.
Carlos: Yes, ma’am.
Jen: Awesome. And remind us what the dates are again.
Carlos: February 26th through March 1st.
